Who this training is for

Software Engineers

Learn how reliability practices shape application design, delivery pipelines, and production ownership.

DevOps Engineers

Connect deployment automation, observability, and rollback workflows into a practical SRE operating model.

System Engineers

Translate infrastructure, monitoring, and operational experience into measurable reliability practices.

What you'll learn

01
Understand practical SRE adoption

Learn what SRE is, why it matters, and how it can be applied in practice through a structured software delivery model.

02
Apply observability and SLO engineering

Define service indicators, create SLO dashboards, manage error budgets, and use observability data for operational decisions.

03
Improve operations efficiency

Use monitoring, alerting, and detector strategies to reduce operational noise and support more reliable systems.

04
Use continuous verification in delivery

Build delivery pipelines, configure verification checks, and practice successful and failing rollout and rollback scenarios.

PREREQUISITES
What participants should bring

Recommended background includes software engineering skills such as OOP and scripting, plus system engineering fundamentals such as operating systems, networking, deployment, security, and monitoring. Experience in performance analysis, release engineering, APM or infrastructure monitoring, or distributed and reliable architecture design is advantageous.

PREPARATION
Before the course starts

Participants should be comfortable working with modern engineering tooling and should come ready for hands-on labs involving deployment, observability, dashboards, and delivery pipeline exercises.

CURRICULUM

Inside Effective SRE

The course is delivered online or onsite and can be customized for team delivery. Public sessions proceed subject to minimum participant numbers, and confirmation is sent four weeks before the scheduled start date together with payment instructions.

Foundational SRE principles, team models, and the first observability-oriented labs.

Theoretical Part
  • Digital Highway blueprint
  • Effective SRE principles and challenges
  • Organization models for DevOps and SRE
  • Containers and microservices
Practical Part
  • Configure kubectl access to the cluster
  • Deploy and explore the training application
  • Extend the deployment with a load generation service
  • Explore infrastructure telemetry and APM
  • Set up observability

SLI, SLO, and Operations Efficiency

Day 2

Monitoring evolution, service level thinking, and operational decision-making with dashboards and detectors.

Theoretical Part
  • Monitoring from the past to the future
  • Monitoring and observability
  • SLIs and SLOs
  • Error budgets
  • Operations efficiency
Practical Part
  • Choose the right SLIs and SLOs
  • Identify the SLI and set the SLO
  • Create dashboards for SLI and SLO tracking
  • Create a chart for remaining error budget per day
  • Create detectors and set dynamic thresholds

Continuous Delivery, Continuous Verification, and Rollbacks

Day 3

Delivery strategy, verification automation, and rollback workflows in a practical pipeline setup.

Theoretical Part
  • SRE and continuous delivery
  • Continuous integration and delivery
  • Continuous delivery strategies
