From fieldwork to classroom
Dr Yassin Aziz Rekik is an Associate Professor at HEPIA Geneva in the Computer Science and Communication Systems program. He works within the inTECH institute and its data science, interactive systems, and artificial intelligence group, combining teaching with applied research.
Before joining HEPIA, Yassin worked as a postdoctoral researcher at EPFL from 2004 to 2009. His published work covers interactive systems, serious games, augmented reality, and professional training. A 2023 paper on a Glasgow Coma Scale simulator received a best paper award. He also contributes to university and industry collaborations, including AI-SQUARE.
At Swiss Digital Network Academy, Yassin leads training in SRE and observability. He connects service-level objectives, operational telemetry, software delivery, and continuous verification with the teaching discipline of an experienced academic.
